In 1994, we established our present location, but we have over 30 years of experience installing ceramic tile and carpet throughout the Southwest Florida metropolitan area. Our project list spans the years and job trends, from residential, churches, and schools to tenant build-outs and renovations. Duane Needham started Tile and Carpet World Carpet One Floor & Home with the idea that a company based on quality, performance, and integrity would grow into an industry leader with a reputation for outstanding work. Our History

Before opening Tile & Carpet World, Duane was originally a tile installer, but now he focuses on educating our customers to understand what they are purchasing. In 1994, he opened Tile and Carpet World on Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte. By 1996, he began expanding due to rising demand for new products. He started with tile, carpet, hardwood and then expanded to laminate, stone, marble, glass tile, and various accessories. In 2004, Hurricane Charley destroyed half of the store facility, but they rebuilt the new store and updated all of their product lines. In 2023, our business relocated to a new building in a more central area of Port Charlotte at 3427 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
